Congratulations to our Fit For Sport Anniversary climbers who completed their challenge in Chamonix for Yellowball Foundation last weekend.
The team left early hours of Friday morning before embarking on a short acclimatisation hike Friday afternoon with Chamonix Hard Cross. After a very well fed and rested Friday evening, the only way was up for the team on Saturday as they climbed 2,350m through snow and rock to reach the summit before successfully controlling their descent to the bottom! Feeling triumphant, the team returned Sunday afternoon and are now well recovered.
Fit For Sport CEO Dean Horridge and Operations Director Craig Jones had this to say from the summit:
Yellowball Foundation Chair, David Howe, joined Dean and the Fit For Sport team as well as participants from Everyone Active, Places for People and Action PR, on the challenge and together they raised a phenomenal £20,000 for Yellowball Foundation. Fit For Sport will be matching all donations £ for £ totalling over £40,000.
Yellowball Foundation enables underprivileged children to participate in activity programmes, gain social & physical skills and build confidence to reach their potential.
