Fit For Sport believe in the role of the dedicated and specialist Children’s Activity Professional to fully engage and educate young people through physical activity.
Fit For Sport work with leading accrediting bodies in the industry to provide accredited qualifications and courses, all delivered by Fit For Sport’s expert team of tutors and assessors.
The purpose of this qualification is to support the achievement of the Government’s school sport policy and lasting legacy of the 2012 Olympic games. It provides the learner with the skills and knowledge required to deliver/support the delivery of low risk activities, which contribute to a physical education and school sport programme through curriculum based and/or extra-curricular activities (including holidays). It also prepares learners for employment in a school sport setting by providing an introduction to opportunities to work as a physical education and school sport professional. We currently deliver the course through 2 awarding organisations – Active IQ and 1st 4 Sport qualification, developed in partnership with afPE.
